This is a past home remodel project from about 6 months ago. Our home was originally built just a little over 14 years ago, we purchased it about 8 months ago. The previous owners built the home an after doing so didn’t update or remodel which means more fun for us in making this house our home!
We would eventually like to rip all of it out – gut it and start fresh. Take advantage of the square footage and add some storage. Not to mention all that white tile and the bulkiness of the that shower and just…yeah! haha.. You get where I’m going with this.
As much as we want to see it go it’s gotta stay for a while. Like I mentioned above we have a LOT of projects and updates to do. So, unfortunately it will have to wait and until then we did a mini make over.
The rest of our crew were still in the middle of moving the last of our belongings states away so it was just AJ (my little brother) my kids – Pooh Bear & Ladybug and I. We needed something to do – when I come up with just the idea of painting…it always turns out to be much much more than that! haha…
AJ and I wanted to surprise the rest of the gang so we got to work! AJ was a major help and without him I could have never completed this bathroom makeover!
PATCH, PUDDY AND SAND!
Old towel bars came down – AJ patching, puttying and sanding.
AJ patched 5 different places on the walls in the bathroom.
Quick Wallpaper Stripper is the way to go!
Erika removing the wallpaper boarder.
A new light fixture is needed!
Goodbye ugly old light fixture!
FIX those loose tiles QUICK and EASY!
This simplegrout – is a pre-mixed white grout which made it super easy to fix a couple loose white tiles. It’s great for easy small jobs.
Vanity Facelift!
Remove doors and hardware, Lightly scuff – until the gloss finish is gone. Make sure not to go to deep and always sand in the wood grain direction.
Cabinet color – Kona brown
BUMMER- The pictures of masking, prepping and painting were somehow accidentally deleted from our camera. (How many times has this happened? especially when you NEEDED those pictures! LOL!) Most know what’s involved with painting a room.
Please check back – our next post will be the reveal!!
