Once you make homemade mayonnaise you’ll never buy the store bought stuff again!

After I made this for the first time I remember thinking “I can’t believe it’s that easy!” and my husband who always orders things that usually come with mayo without mayo and if he couldn’t order it without mayo he would wipe it off his food. He dislikes mayo that much…well at least until he had this homemade mayonnaise! He actually really likes it and eats it no problem on whatever it’s put on.

Now that’s amazing friends!

He’s now known as the man that doesn’t like mayo unless it’s homemade and natural! :)

Please Note: You should always use common sense when making things that call for raw eggs. Make sure to use fresh quality ingredients and refrigerate any left over mayo right away. Once refrigerated the homemade mayo could separate and will need to be stirred before each use.

Natural Homemade Mayonnaise Recipe

Ingredients:

2 fresh Egg Yolks

1  1/2 cups Olive Oil

Pinch of Kosher Salt

3 teaspoons Apple Cider Vinegar

3 teaspoons Lemon Juice

1/2 teaspoon Dijon Mustard

Optional: Minced Garlic

Directions:

Begin emulsion by whisking the salt and a couple tablespoons of olive oil. Once the emulsion begins and the mixture starts to stiffen you can then add all the remaining ingredients except the remaining oil. Take one tablespoon at a time of the remaining oil and add to the mixture, continue to whisk  as you keep adding the oil to the main mixture until all is mixed together.

That’s it! You’re done! It’s that easy! Now make sure to put the mayo in a sealed air tight container and put it in the fridge!
