So sorry everyone, we’ve gone missing! We have been SUPER busy again. Getting this home school year in check! Getting things on the homestead prepared for this winter and the many other things in life that keep one busy busy! We promise to be hosting the link party this coming week. We are “still” trying to get a hold on this spam stuff… we currently have 479 comments….. LOL!

Wow, I've recently been innudated with spam comments at my own blogger blog. I have no idea what is going on, and it's driving me crazy! I do not want to turn on "verification" stuff. Personally, I have a hard time making out those convoluted letters and numbers that one is requested to type in in order to verify that I am a real person actually making a comment that is relevant to the post in real time, not just a conglommeration of advertising links and crap! The strangest thing is, up until about a week ago, I NEVER had a problem with this kind of thing and my blog has been online since the end of April, 2007. So, I am wondering - what the heck changed??? Something must have changed in order for this flood of crap to now be aimed at my blog. What was it that changed? Why did it change? Does it have something to do with google blogger? But you are not affiliated with google blogger - you are independent. So, if you find out anything about what may be causing your spam problems, I sure would appreciate receiving a heads-up on it via a post here that you can share with all of your fans. BTW, I cannot say that I know what it is like to set up a home-schooling system, but I do sympathize with being too busy for the time that we have in a 24-hour day!
Hi Jan! Yes, it's crazy isn't it?! A headache also! SPAM all over the internet is just a pain....I 100% agree with not wanting to have "verification" stuff because that's just annoying and it doesn't help because people would rather not comment if they have to go through it all. I know what you mean they aren't easy to read and I have had to re-enter and re-enter until they finally take. If I find out something I will for sure let you know! Hi there ~ I'm sorry about all the spam! It's a bummer having to go through them all. I am on wordpress and there is the best plugin called Akismet! I wouldn't be able to function without it!
