We had a AWESOME first party! Thank you to all who linked up! :)

We appreciate all who linked back but we did notice that quite a few people didn’t link back.  :(

We’ve come to the conclusion that we will delete you from the party if you don’t link back because it’s unfair to those who do link back.

We want to feature and support each other and in our eyes that’s what a link party is all about! :)

Now moving right long to our Top Picks! -

We didn’t have a problem choosing our top picks…okay maybe we “wanted” to pick a whole lot more but we were able to narrow it down to our top 11!

We were inspired by so many of you but let us share with you why we love the ones we are featuring today.

In no particular order-

“Preserving” Summer – Fresh Strawberry and Sour Cherry Jam
Kimberly shares her process through beautiful photos, a bit of humor and her great recipe. We enjoyed following along as she took us with her in her adventure of “Preserving Summer”!

"Preserving" Summer - Fresh Strawberry and Sour Cherry Jam

Trash Pickin Transformation
Jennifer did an amazing transformation on some chairs she spotted on the curb while she was out running one Saturday morning. Anything for “FREE” makes it that much more fun right?! You’ve got to see how she did it and also take a peek at her beautiful “city farmhouse”.

Trash Pickin Transformation

Distressed Mason Jars
We “LOVE” Mason Jars for canning  and we’ve even used them for fun things besides canning, never thought of painting them let alone adding a special touch of a distressed look too! Such a clever and beautiful idea Andrea!

Distressed Mason Jars

Grammy’s Homemade Pancakes
Tina makes our mouths water  just looking at the photos of her pancakes! They make you wish you were eating some right now, don’t they? Not only do they look delicious but the super sweet story and recipe behind them will put a smile on your face and love in your heart.  Guaranteed.

Lettuce in a Box
We promise we had them picked out as a feature before we read more on their blog and found out that these lovely ladies are a mother-daughter team like us! How cool is that? We of course find it SUPER cool! :) What we love about this lettuce in a box is that it shows others they can garden anywhere and can make it fun by planting in an old box found at an estate sale like they did!

Kitchen Hutch
Leanne wowed us with her beautiful kitchen hutch transformation! Taking something and giving it a whole new purpose, from the paint to the hardware it’s just lovely! What she has done here just works amazingly together and look at the white dishes they just pop! – it’s a must see!

Uruguayan Empanadas
Vivian takes us back to her roots of being Uruguayan and shares her recipe of how they make empanadas. We’ve had empanadas before but have yet to try the Uruguayan recipe. We love and embrace different cultures so these are on our to-cook list!

{DIY cake stand}
Vanessa shares with us some flea market finds and then she creates a gorgeous cake stand! I feel like if I were to say it looks like I’m looking into a Pottery Barn catalog when I see her creation that it would be an insult.  It’s such a beautiful inspiration piece! We are now on the hunt to find pieces to make one too!

Weeds On The Menu
Brenda did this awesome post about weeds on your dinner plate. We’ve read before that people make recipes with weeds but not until we stumbled across her post of “Weeds on the menu” did we actually consider doing it too! She also shares the warnings about wild edibles. It never hurts to know what you can and cannot eat! You never know when you might wish you had this knowledge and sometimes it fun learning things you may not think you ever cared to know!

Mens shirt to CUTE shirt tutorial
Pictures speak a thousand words – Jacinda gives us a tutorial on how to take a men’s shirt and wear it as a cute shirt. Love the unique look of the way she does this, who would ever know it was your hubby’s shirt? Another cool thing is that this tutorial is in all photos!

DIY Tire Planter
We’re a sucker for anything DIY but you have to check this super neat idea out! Pamela shares these super creations of up-cycling that her FIL did by taking a tire and transforming it into a planter. We love the red paint!

Thanks for the invite, love your site! I just added my post goodbye starbucks, hello iced mocha. I don't have the linky button on my post yet, I will add it this afternoon when I go to the library. My phone can't make changes on my website, and we live off-grid soooo we use the library for our internet and the phone for emails and such :)

Hi Abby Jo! Thanks so much for linking up! I appreciate the heads up on the link back and I think it's wonderful you have your ways of living off grid but still contribute and have access to the internet! :) Very cool! I look forward to checking out all that you shared!
